White Playground is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our development team as a back-end engineer to help us build the next generation platforms including microservice architecture design, APIs, and client facing websites. The individual should be highly self-driven and willing to learn new technology, as we build our solutions on the latest technology and industry-leading practices.

Role/Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product and Front-End team members to design, build, test, and deploy dynamic client-facing websites that host our data assets with analytical and charting features.

• Participate in defining the architecture of and operating modern tools, such as Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, Docker, IIS, NGINX.

• Maintain high code quality and forward-thinking design.

• Work directly with Product Design team to deliver products in a collaborative and agile environment.

• Adopt new technologies to help us build better products.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in IT.

• Expert level knowledge of server-side language: Java and Spring Framework.

• Proficiency in:

  • Developing Restful APIs and Microservices

  • Java testing frameworks (JUnit, JBehave, etc)

  • Git

  • OAuth and JSON Web Token (JWT)

  • Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

  • Agile development teams, methodologies, and toolsets

• Solid understanding of continuous integration, deployment and monitoring.

• Experience with client-side framework and languages such as Angular 2+ is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
